Glycolic peel treatment (alpha hydroxy acid): Glycolic acid itself is derived from sugar cane. This light peel is a non-wounding glycolic solution applied to the surface of the skin. It mildly exfoliates dead cells that form on the epidermis, thus revitalizing photo-damaged skin and reducing fine lines and wrinkles. This treatment can be performed on all skin types and is recommended for most people as part of a regular skin care regimen. It is the mildest treatment with no recovery time.
A Glycolic peel treatment will beautifully brighten dull looking skin and activate cell renewal which helps with collagen reproduction.
Salicylic peel treatment (beta hydroxy acid): Salicylic acid is derived from willow bark. This light peel revitalizes sensitive skin and improves the appearance of problematic or oily/acne prone skin. Repeated treatments, as recommended, help to control breakouts.
Similar to the Glycolic peel, this treatment brightens skin. However a mild flaking of the superficial dead skin cells may occur a day or two after treatment depending on your skin. Results are best after the flaking has subsided.
Vi Peel®
A prescription strength peel using a proprietary blend of trichloroacetic acid, retinol, Vitamin C, beta salicylic acid and phenol. This combination of ingredients treats a variety of skin conditions, including sun-damaged and aging skin. If you have areas of hyperpigmentation, texture irregularities and/or fine lines, you may expect to see excellent, even dramatic results within days. This peel requires no down time, but on the 3rd and 4th post-peel days, you will see significant peeling. There will not be, however, days or weeks of redness or weepiness; just sheets of dead skin forever gone, with fresh, smooth skin appearing.
This peel comes with generous containers of moisturizer and sunscreen for use in the week following application. There is no pain involved. You may apply makeup at any time after the peel. We will do pre-peel photographs, one of which we’ll give you; then, post-peel photos will be taken after 2 weeks. |
